With Utrecht’s city comedian ( Stadcomedian van Utrecht ) and good friend Hans Gommer, I was invited to be a guest on his podcast Domspraok.
Domspraok is a podcast series about people from the Dutch city of Utrecht who make the city more beautiful, more vibrant and a little crazier, most often in creative ways.
We had a great conversation about my exhibition and the release of my book Peepzshow,
but also about the years when I travelled along with Utrecht bands C-mon & Kypski and DJ collective Boemklatsch, almost like a mascot. I joined mostly for the fun of it and, of course, for the opportunity to help empty the infamous fridge for free.
We also talked about when something is actually “finished”.
When is a photograph ready, or does it always remain a moment that keeps moving, just like you? And perhaps even more intriguingly: can you call yourself a photographer when you’re still unsure?
We talked about that thin line between certainty and doubt, between seeing and feeling, between documenting and letting go.
